B/. What is Grumpy`s Studio?
Grumpy is the nick name given to Mosaic and Muralist Andy Phillips A disabled artist with over 30years experience. And offers tuition to both able bodied & disabled students. Who want to learn about creating both Mosaics & Murals. Andy  owns and runs a small art based studio in R.C.T South Wales.  He has also a NVQ in textured paint finishes. A drug & alcohol councillor as well as being a youth & community worker
 
C/. How Do I Place an Order?
The Best way to create your own Mosaic or Mural is via the website

Through the website Grumpy shows you how to create your own Mosaic or Mural Project Suitable for Bedrooms, Living Rooms, Kitchens, Office, Work Space, Shop Shutters, Advertising Board etc.
GM Tries to make the process as simple as is possible. GM makes it easy to fully immerse yourself  in the art of Mosaic & Mural painting. Are you able to take Grumpy`s challenge.
 
D/. Payment & Shipping
1. You can order straight from the website and payment is made using paypal
2. Your project cart is available at the bottom of every page.
3. Shipping is normally within 6 weeks of  ordering.
4. If you require tuition then this might add to the production time required.
5. Client must meet all shipping costs themselves. Customers can collect their artwork in person,
6. All shipping orders over £50 is delivered free of charge.
 
E/. Returns & Refunds
1. GM operates a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee if for any reason you are not happy with the Service Or the tuition you have received falls short of the high standard that GM sets. We will gladly refund your investment in full or in part depending upon the problem, as soon as the problem  is brought to our attention. And after every effort to sort out the situation has been made.
2. Please remember that by signing off the design brief. You are committing to the production of your particular Mosaic or Mural project.
3. Beauty is in deed, in the eye of the beholder. We understand that not everyone will like the same things. If your not happy with the outcome of the mural project. GM will try it’s hardest to correct or rectify any and all faults found. Please bare with us. As we try to correct any imperfections.
 
F/. Disclaimer
1. Every effort shall be made by GS to ensure that every effort is made to ensure that production timetables and design briefs go as smoothly as is possible.
2. However GS holds the right to change, Delay or cancel production for reasons beyond it`s control.
3. All Monies owed will be returned.
4. The health and safety of both tutors and Students is paramount. Tuition may be delayed or cancelled should the event location  be inappropriate to hold tuition
5. any scaffolding work areas must be put up by qualified individuals and is the responsibility of the clients to ensure that these are supplied. For further advise POA
6. GS is both a friendly place to learn and to teach. Disruptive or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated. Therefore GS holds the right to bar individuals who disrupt its friendly tuition activities.
 
G/. The Mosaic & Mural Process
You can design,  create & even be taught how to create your very own mural.  This is done by splitting the whole process into 3 different production steps.
 
Step 1.
Selecting your design.

1. If you already have a drawn out design that meets our parameters. This is Free!
2. If however you have a good idea about what you want, a viable theme or activity or project  we can offer you 2 hrs of Design for only £30.00 (£15.00 per hr)
3. Alternatively GS can offer 4 hrs Design for only £60.00 (£15.00 per hr)
 Should you not wish to engage GS in creating your design.  The website gives you plenty of notes, Hints, tips & other pieces of useful info that will help you in the design process
Design Process
Within the first 14 days you will be sent out a design proof stating how your Mural will look like.
1. This design must be signed off before we can continue with production.
2. Only sign If you are totally happy with the design.
3. By signing the design sheet you are committing to purchase the completed Mosaic or Mural  Project.
4. GS will make  every effort to correct any mistakes before the design is committed to production  
5. If you are participating in one of our workshops the design process is included in the itinerary.

Step 2.  
Selecting the type of Substrate & Size.

This means the Size of Mural or Mosaic plus the base Material by which the design is applied.
Mosaic Sizes
GS has 4 different groups of  Sizes
Micro(6”&12”panels), Mini (18”&24”), Midi(30&36”), Maxi (42”&48”)
Mural Sizes
GS has 3 different Sizes of Mural
Small (4ft&8ft), Medium(12ft&16ft), Large(20ftx24ft)
For larger sizes P.OA
Mosaic substrates
 Although any hard but porous material can be Mosaic, GS offers only 3 substrates. All Priced Equally
1. A tradional Wall Mosaic, Suitable for both Interior & Exterior Application
2. MDF Panels (Medium Density Fibreboard) Used for Interior Application
3. Marine Plywood panels Used for exterior Application
Mural Substrates
GS offers 4 Mural substrates all priced equally
1. A traditional Wall Mural, Both interior and exterior Applications
2. Canvas Panel Used for interior Applications only
3. MDF Panels (Medium Density Fibreboard). Used for interior Applications
4. Ply Panels (Marine Ply) Used for exterior Applications
Cut out Shapes
Both the Ply and MDF can be 2d rendered by routering around the outline of the Mosaic or Mural shape. You are then able to mount the mural proud of the wall surface using batons.
The cost of materials also includes costs of painting the mural.

Step 3.
Select your level of  Involvement

The third step involves the actual production of the Mosaic or Mural Project. You as client can now have full control over the level of involvement and participation within this process.
You can choose to have No involvement at all. This is not a problem.  Let GS create your Mosaic or Mural Free! of Charge.
Why should I bother with tuition?
1.     You Get to see your Mural being created in front of your own eyes.
2.     The chance to Learn as little or as much as you need.
3.     Select Taster Sessions from 1 to 5 hrs. Hourly rate is only £15.00
4.     First hour is FREE! when you take out multiple taster sessions.
5.     Learn the basics of Mural painting on either a one 2 one, group activity or party activity. For only £90.00
6.     Select 1 days tuition to receive our basic level mural creation course Just £180.00 for the whole group.
7. Alternatively You can select our Group Workshop. Suitable for smaller Groups (up to 10 Pupils)£360.00
8. 30% discount via coupon available for charitable groups and community groups.
9. Why not turn it into an activity or party that the whole family or freinds can enjoy.
10. Quite a cheap way of conducting team building, group bonding sessions for your business. with a finished project at the end to do what you choose with.

GS has all the right insurances in place, including Public liability insurance.  All Tutors used are CRB checked and  carry a first aid certificate
Travel Costs
Tuition & Workshops suitable to customers residing within the UK & Eire only. Residents living within 25miles, 50miles Round trip of The Rhondda Valleys, South Wales (CF37). there is no charge made for travel expenses. Ie.
1. Travel expenses in and around South Wales area is FREE!
2. Travel expenses to other parts of UK: charged @ 40p per mile + parking charges if applicable
Sleepover allowance
if travel is over 100 miles one way (200 miles approx 2 hrs total travelling time for a return journey) then an extra £80 per day is added to the workshop total,   It's important to us that our sessions workout as cost effective as possible for your school/organisation.
